Julian CurrentsPostdoctoral Teaching Fellow

Julian Currents is a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in Emory’s Writing Program. Their research and teaching focus on the evolving relationship between commodities, consumption, and empire, and their critical work examines these shifting emotional landscapes through Caribbean literature, speculative fictions, ecocriticism, postcolonial critique, and the blue humanities. Julian’s scholarship can be found in The Journal of Haitian Studies, and their creative works can be found in WUSSY Mag, Islandia Journal, and Fruitslice.
